Nurse time management and writing tasks down

Nurse time management and writing tasks down helps me to take control and reduce stress.

I work in a in LTC as a nurse and my workload and paper charting is pretty hectic.

I find it helpful to have a history sheet and writing my tasks that needs to be done.

I then prioritize each of those tasks.

I ensure that the tasks with a high priority get done. I also manage patient's grievances and then gather all the charts so that I can get the charting done.

Then quickly go over the tasks again.

I find that writing down my tasks and ticking them off when I complete them keeps me focused on my top priorities and tasks.

There are days when I get nothing done on my tasks but I find that by having them listed helps to orientate me in the right direction after everything has settled.
