Overcome procrastination and increase time management skills by reducing distractions.

Procrastination is my middle name.

I have procrastinated all my life and I want to overcome procrastination because it is causing me so much stress and ruining my relationships with those that I care about most.

I have found a way that I overcome procrastination which works for me.

I have found that when I procrastinate I look for things that are distractions - I check my email, go on Facebook....do anything but the very thing that I have to do.

Basically I when procrastinating I look for something that is more pleasant....does this sound familiar?

For me the simple solution to beat procrastination is to reduce the options for distractions.

If I have to work and don't need email or the computer then I go to a coffee shop or park where I can work without the distraction of Facebook or email.

I have also found it useful to use various time tracking software that tells me how much time I am spending on those things - and some time tracking software even blocks my time so that I can't access those programs that I get distracted on.

This is great!

Something else you can do to better manage your time would be to check emails ONLY during specific times of the day so that you are not sidetracked from other work.... etc.
